True side to side but a little out of round. Very loud when coasting. Seller shipped USPS to Chicago. Tracking saw the wheel go from Kentucky to Cincinnati (so far so good), then to Des Moines, Iowa before coming to Chicago. Total mileage of 919 miles instead of the 289 if shipped from Cincinnati directly to Chicago. Hub on the cassette side was sticking out of the box and got pretty beat up. The wheel is on the bike and everythng seems ok.This wheelset is different than my old one. I like this one better.I wanted to use these wheels as economical replacements. But, I have had to retorque loose or fallen apart spokes several times. The offset is incorrect for the rear wheel mounts. Had ti shim it to stop it from rubbing. There are sharp edges on the inner sides of the wheels. Cut two inner tubes. Overall not satisfied.Marketing OVER KILL - they sure look nice in the PICTUREPoor Quality - My very first ride, a spoke broke and it was the FRONT wheel, not the REAR which typically gets more stressI am an expert rider and I kept going back and forth with this purchase, I have somewhat an older vBrake CycloCross bike, I just want to do training runs I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I should of just spent the money on a better wheelset. The quality is absolute joke, NO DOCUMENTATION what so ever and if you know anything about wheelset and more importantly the WHEEL HUB (which is a main part), the hubs are for lack of a better word..... a joke. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE and I typically do not do reviews or give feedback. I did this, because I am not happy with these and hate to see someone else go thru the same... DO NOT PURCHASE THESE. These hubs are not sealed and after you ride on these for awhile (if you can ride on them at all), they will fail because dirt, salt, grim, whatever will get in there and kill it. I also experienced the rear wheel, you must have a specific bike that fits this rear wheel, which in my mind is not A STANDARD LENGTH. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy these and AGAIN NO DOCUMENTATION, NO WEBSITE to call up and ask for technical guidance, which I know how to mount wheels, etc... on a bike but I am just saying, you are going be stuck with these with no help and more importantly trying to figure out how to use these. GOOD LUCK!I ordered this for my spare/ training road bike. Wheels come well balanced out of the box and are relatively lightweight. Everything feels decent quality. Ride smooth with minimal resistance or friction. Reason for only 4 stars; I had to take the hub apart and add some lube to it (don't know if it has to be dry for shipment but it was notdisclosed on package). The hub is kinda loud for my liking and they come with absolutely no instructions which may be an issue for some.Overall the wheel is attractive, was well packaged, and seems to work very well. The thread on the inside of the hub didn't work smoothly with the locking that came with the cassette. We tried half a dozen lockrings before finding one that would thread on fully. Also, for those who care, the hub is very loud when coasting.Came 3 days earlier than stated delivery date. Wheels were true right out of the box. I will say the rear hub has the loudest ratchet zzzz sound I've heard but, I kind of love that. They might not be the lightest wheels in the world but, they are lighter than the Mavic Cosmic Elites that they are replacing.After 1 month the wheels was untrue. The wheels isn’t terrible but it probably just needs to be rebuilt. I’m 230 lbs but other wheels have held me up for at least a year when I was 260lbs.
