well built front shock forks for the 4" fat tire ebikeFirst, the product is great. So far I have not put it into service but by all appearances it is well made and constructed of quality materials. I was a little cautious about installing an after market part so I showed it to a couple of different bike mechanics and the opinion was unanimous that this is a quality part.Second and at least as important, I also had a lot of questions for the seller. The seller responded quickly to all of my inquiries, and there were several. Botany is an excellent company to deal with. Their customer service is top notch.So far so good! Using on a fat tire AWD ebike with a front hub. After attempting to find a "high quality" front fork that would work with my front hub motor, I ended up settling in this.Pros: fits fat tire bikes with traditional or QR wheels.Remote lock out works great!Air suspension seems to work well.Cons: it does 'flex" on hard stops! I little worrisome, but I'll live with it till I find a high quality fork that will fit my needs.So, it hasn't broke yet! LOL! 70lbs bike that I did some mild single track with and lots of groomed city trails (aka: asphalt), it wi suit my needs until the right upgrade comes along.So far, Id highly recommend if you are like me and can't find a solution. This solution will work till a better brand shows it's face!Great low buck suspension fork upgrade on a 2018 Mongoose Dolomite! Spring preload works pretty well, the air chamber stiffens things up a bunch if that's your thing. Installation was a breeze, but to complete the front end setup, I went with an FSA Hammer headset (decent budget headset with oversized bearings), a new stem and bar. Obviously, the 100mm travel fork will significantly change the geometry, so I used a lower bar. The lock feature brings me back to my mountain bike racing days when a suspension fork with a lockout was a big deal. Handling is fantastic, mostly due to a bit more flexibility in tire pressures. The stock rigid fork was very sensitive to pressure changes. This thing even looks cool! No sense in putting a $600 fork on a $200 bike, so win-win. Highly recommend.I originally got the fork and it took 30 days to get to me. the day after I installed it and immediately the fork broke while installing the tire. because the warranty was only 30 days it was out of warranty and I was out of luck. I contacted them by email and I got no response until I checked my junk email and found that they had replied to me and asked me for my address. I gave it to them mind you this was months later and they sent me a replacement good on them five stars.This fat suspension fork looked good, but after installing I dropped my rating. After I installed this fork I moved my bike and used the front disc brake to make sure there was no excess play in the headset bearings. What did I see! The metal fork tubes are moving forward and back inside the lower aluminum fork legs. I could not believe what I saw, Not up and down suspension but fork tubes moving back and forth inside the bottom legs, Not just a couple of mm, but enough movement that you could plainly see.I have never in my life seen this on any suspension fork, I removed the fork and reinstalled my original fork. Now it is too late to return because I waited too long to install this fork, I am out total purchase cost of two of this same fork and tax. Donated one to charity and sold the other for $75.00, Never buy another China made fat bike fork, I looked everywhere and these forks looked the best, Big Mistake!!If you purchased this fork, see if the tubes rock inside the lower legs.Does not have rebound adjustment. Easy to install on my Ecotric Cool Sport 26” x 4” fat tire ebike. It really helped tame the bumps and drops and ledges and holes. My quick release wheel worked great with it. Raises the front and changes the geometry.I installed this fork on my Gravity Bullseye Monster after the stock rigid for began bending underneath the bike. I tried this out today on a rough mountain gravel road with a number of erosion "ditches" and a ~7 deg descent over ~ 5 miles. The fork really cut down on the jarring, and I was able to descend at an average of 18 mph - even given the rough nature of this road. I am curious about long-term service, but this was a great start.Up grade for my current bikeGives a much better and controlled ride on rough terrainHave not tried it on snow yetDoes not match the description.
